Thanksgiving Treats

Give your puppy a reason to be thankful
1 lb. chicken liver
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons molasses or honey
¼ cup parsley

Place all ingredients in the bowl of food processor. Process until smooth. Pour into a microwaveable container, approximately 8" square or round. Microwave on high until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. This takes 7 minutes in my microwave, but your mileage may vary. When cooked, turn out of pan immediately, allow the bottom to dry since it will be damp from condensation, and cut into squares while still warm. Spread bits on a foil-lined cookie sheet and bake at 200° for 1.5 hours

(These are very approximate)
*about 1/3 cup oats ground to flour in a food processor or mill; add whole wheat pastry flour (or bread flour, but pastry preferably) to make 1/2 cup of "flour"
*a little cinnamon
*a dash of sea salt
*a dash of baking soda
*about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of grated carrots
*about a 1/4 cup of oil (I used corn and as little as possible; it may have only been about 1/8 of a cup)
*2-3 Tablespoons of (REAL) maple syrup
*a healthy dash of vanilla (dogs like vanilla!)
*1 egg

Mix ingredients all together; bake in small ungreased loaf pan at 350 degree until tests done with a toothpick. (around 20-25 minutes?) In the meantime, have cream chess and butter warming to room temperature. When cake is cook, mix a few tablespoons of the cream cheese with a little bit of butter, and spread on top.

Makes one small cake that would be around 4-6 servings. (Or maybe 2 or 3 depending upon size of dog!!)
